HARWICH HAVEN HARBOUR TOURS

The Harwich Haven harbour tour is packed with visual treats supported with a historical commentary. You will dozens of different types of craft in action or moored from tiny dinghies to some of the world’s largest container and cruise ships. Patrol boats, pilot craft, tugs, light-ships, tenders, ferries, sailing barges, passenger trip boats, luxury yachts, powerboats, fishing boats and even ski-boats use the haven constantly.

The landscape is dominated by the Port of Felixstowe with its row of cranes and colossal container ships. The port is a hive of activity, with the constant movement of machinery loading and unloading boats from around the world.  Harwich International Port dominates the Essex side of the haven. Some of the cruise ships can carry nearly 3000 people and are over 900 ft long. The Brightlingsea is 70 ft.

Harbour trips run daily from 10am  to 5pm  and last around one hour 40 minutes. Refreshments and toilets are available on board.
